Brian from Edge Lane Allotments will be on hand to give you his top tips. He will also be giving away bulbs and pots and some herbs to help get you started growing your own veg in time for winter. There will be practical demonstrations of how to plant up your winter onion, garlic and strawberries and bulbs and plants you can take away. Demonstrations on how to sow seeds, re-pot plants and how to take cuttings and how to replant shoots. Also Carlo from the community café will be making some tasty veg soup which you can try for 50p. But if you’re a community reporter you can have a bowl for free if you Blog a post about the event. Myself (Jess) and David will be on hand to help you do this if your not sure how too. The Drop in event will take place on Monday 6th October 2008 at the Grange centre on pilgrim Drive from 11am to 5pm
